    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Interior Designer position will report to the Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the entire WAYS Interiors team to produce elevated commercial and residential design projects. They’ll provide valuable experience and skillsets to the end-to-end client experience while producing designs and presentations for an array of project types and scales. Designers must have a minimum of 3-5 years of relatable experience or a BS or BA in interior design.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The Interior Designer is accountable for managing designs through various phases of development, with a primary focus on furniture and final styling. While working alongside the Design Assistants, they’re accountable for successfully sourcing and presenting designs digitally for the firm and clients. They’ll utilize various resources to source furniture and decor selections for client projects, while efficiently delegating tasks within the design team. Their articulate and kind communication skills paired with their keen attention to detail will ensure they’re accurately documenting project needs, gathering appropriate approvals, communicating to the applicable vendors/reps, ensuring ordering/purchasing is completed, and delivery of the product is completed within the appropriate timeframes to ensure proper installation based on the project schedules.

    Must be able to travel locally and perform in varying environments. Must be able to sit and operate a computer for extended periods, as well as the ability be able to be on their feet, lift/carry products up to 40lbs, and present materials. Business casual attire is required.

    RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS (including but not limited to):

    • Work with the design team to coordinate design projects through all phases of Design: Conceptual, Schematic, Development, Construction, and Final Finishing

    • Serve clients in the WAYS Interiors Design Lab and at client home appointments

    • Key player in the selection and sourcing of furniture and decor

    • Produce digital and physical presentations, including mood boards, flat lays, and floorplans for client presentations

    • Professionally conduct and participate in client meetings and presentations

    • Create action Items from meeting notes and input them into the project management software

    • Coordinate ordering, shipments, receiving, and installation of furniture and products

    • Work with the the applicable staff to manage client product orders through proposals to delivery (inspect, approve, and coordinate the delivery of the product for install as received)

    • Create product proposals and order documentation

    • Office tasks may include: picking up and returning vendor samples, taking samples to clients

    • Communicate and build key relationships with external vendors and sales reps

    • Efficiently prioritize tasks and balance both short-term and long-term deadlines and projects

    • Inspire and create innovative solutions to emerging designs and trends

    • Periodic project site visits to support project execution and client relationships

    • Utilize and track projects using the applicable internal company tools and software

    • Complete all other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager

    • Possible overtime or travel may be required
